Kids Fishing Derby

A highlight of the year is the Kids Fishing Derby. This free family event has been held yearly by CCWA in May since 2004, at the Dysart Dam.

2008 Kids Fishing Derby - May 17, 2008, 9 am to noon.

Age: Up to and including 15 years old. Bring your own fishing tackle and bait.

Prizes in 3 age groups for largest fish and largest string. No entrance fee.

In 2007, about 100 kids cast their bait into the dam. More than 600 fish were stocked by CCWA in the dam, so success was high.

Lots of prizes were awarded - everyone received a prize! Prizes were donated by many local organizations. Funds for purchase of fish were donated by the Holtz Family.

The Fishing Derby is supported by a raffle in addition to donations for the fish and prizes.
